Togetsukyo Bridge

­ ­­

• Sagano Bamboo Grove - Stroll through the thick bamboo forest in Sagano, located to the northwest in Kyoto Basin, covering area of 16 square kilometers. Not far from the center of the city, yet remains a wonderful natural environment.
• Jojakkoji Temple - This Nio Mon Gate with its thatched roof contains a Niozo statue sculpted by Unkei while the Taho To Tower (an important cultural asset) covered in cypress bark represents the style of the Momoyama era (the 16th century) even though it was built in the Edo-era (1603-1867).
• Tenryuji Temple - It's one of the five great Zen temples of Kyoto, and boasts an typical Zen-style garden of Japan's Muromachi Piriod(14-16c)
• Togetsukyo Bridge - The Emperor Kameyama (1249-1305) named this bridge Togetsukyo and traditional riverside attractions such as Ukai fishing using cormorants can often be seen conducted around the bridge.

The tour will finish at Kyoto Station. Your English speaking assistant will help you find your hotel from where the bus leaves you.
