Day 4: Kawaguchiko & Mt. Fuji

Breakfast at your hotel
Immerse yourself in the natural beauty and enjoy Mt. Fuji views while the sunrises or sets!
Enjoy the uniquely Japanese experience of onsen and truly relax and unwind before three days of festival madness!

Option: Visit a Five Lakes organic farm café!

Day 5, 6, 7 & 8: Niigata - FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL

After two days at Mt. Fuji and a traditional Japanese breakfast at your ryokan, it’s time to head to Niigata for the epic three day Fuji Rock festival!

We will stay at a local hotel so wellies, tents and sleeping bags won’t be required!
With a combination of international star acts, Japanese favourites of all genres, and a mix of Japanese specific features (hot spring bath to wash away the festival anyone??), this is truly a festival like no other.

Day 9: Sadogashima

After breakfast at your hotel we escape the festival aftermath and take a ferry to the ‘Island of Exile’, Sadogashima on Japan’s west coast. Sado is home to Japan’s famous Kodo taiko drumming group. You’ll get to have a go yourself at the island’s Taiko Centre drumming workshop. Take a spin in a traditional tarai-bune barrel boat (just like the one in Spirited Away!).

In keeping with our rock theme, visit the abandoned gold mine and eery film-set lit up at night.
After a week of intense social activites, climbing and dancing, your break on Sado Island will be pure paradise!

Day 10: Sado Island
