This five star culinary and cultural tour ‘Taste Japan’ is perfect for those who appreciate outstanding food, wine and beautiful surroundings. Japan has quite the reputation for culture and cuisine. No matter how often you’ve frequented a ‘foreign’ Japanese restaurant in your own country or on your travels, none will compare to what you are about to experience.
Day 1: Arrive to Tokyo
Arrive in Tokyo on your scheduled flight. You will be met on arrival by our transfer staff and taken to your Tokyo hotel.
We will begin our trip with a welcome dinner at a nearby Shabu-Shabu restaurant.
Shabu-shabu is a Japanese hotpot dish of thinly sliced meat and vegetables boiled in seasoned water and served with delicious dipping sauces. Enjoy cooking your shabu-shabu at your own little cooker placed out in front of you. For non-meat eaters, you will be given extra vegetables as an alternative.
Day 2: Tokyo Sightseeing

Day 3: Tokyo
Today you will have free time apart from 2.5-3 hours over lunch. Today’s lunch will be all about Ramen! Follow our Tokyo ramen masters who will bring you on an adventurous fun ramen tasting 2 hour tour of the city.
Japan’s most popular noodle dish, RAMEN, is taking the world by storm. You’ll find yourself surrounded by thousands of ramen shops all over Tokyo. This speedy tour will educate you on which ramen to go for allowing you sample a variety of ramen recipes!
You’ll not only dive into delicious ramen, but get to learn all about this magical dish – it’s history, preparation, different types, and even its future.
After your ramen tour you can choose your preferred place to see in Tokyo. We will guide you on where to go and how to go there, so if you have no idea, just ask us!
Day 4: Travel to Kyoto

Transfer to Kyoto on the first class car of the shinkansen (high speed bullet train)
Highlight: Kyoto Michelin-starred restaurant dinner
Day 5: Kyoto
After breakfast, you will enjoy a full day tour in Kyoto. Highlights include a special visit to the Imperial Palace and dining with a beautiful Kyoto Geisha. We will also visit a Kyoto housewife for a Japanese home cooking demonstration.
Highlight: Seasonal cultural event in the evening time (theatre, performance, arts).
Day 6: Kyoto at leisure

Explore Kyoto or Nara with suggestions from your travel consultant and local guide.
You will have the option to visit the heart of Japanese Buddhism on the mountain of Koya-san and experience the rich heritage of Japanese traditional monastic life and exquisite vegan cuisine.
Day 7: Osaka - Japan's Good Cooking Capital!

You will be taken on a morning tour of Osaka with our local guide.
Highlight: Lunch at celebrated restaurant in Osaka
Day 8: Shizuoka & Mt. Fuji
After breakfast at your hotel you will have the option to take part in a tea-tasting session to start off the day (please pay for this locally)
On our journey back to Tokyo, we will spend some time sightseeing around Japan’s most famous mountain
Day 9: Tokyo
Breakfast at your hotel before enjoying your final day in Tokyo at your leisure. Speak to your travel consultant for ideas on where best to spend your last day.
Highlight: Farewell dinner with your group of newfound friends to round off your culinary adventure!
Day 10: Tour Ends

You will be transferred to Tokyo Haneda or Narita airport for your scheduled flight
