Friday Roundup: March 13, 2015

Welcome to the second edition of the Unique Japan Tours Friday Round Up. The purpose of this post is to collect in one place the best things we’ve shared on social media during the week. Follow us on Twitter,FacebookGoogle+ and Instagram to get great Japan content from around the web we think is worth reading!

This week marked the anniversary of the March 11, 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. I was in Japan at the time, and even though I was far from the epicenter, I was still rattled, shocked and I’ll never forget that day.

The BBC posted an article about Japan marking the anniversary.

But it’s not all gloomy, as there are plenty of shoots of recovery in Tohoku, as these two article show.

In other Japan related news, there was a Fire Walking Festival in Japan last week, and there’s a pretty cool video about it.

Lastly, we would like to thank the Irish Wedding Diary for this shout out on Instagram. We’ve talked about how we feel Japan is a great honeymoon destination, and they agree!
